Blood donation camp
Everyone at KFIL displayed the spirit of ‘pass it around’ on 26th June 2017, when they overwhelmingly donated128 units of blood. To reduce the insufficiency of blood supply, thereby saving lives of people in a medical emergency, our Corporate Social Responsibility team of KFIL organised a voluntary blood donation camp at KFIL in association with Indian Red Cross Blood Bank, Koppal. Mr N. B Ektare, Chief Operating Officer of Koppal Plant and Dr C. S Karamudi, Vice Chairman, Koppal Branch, Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka inaugurated the camp.
Cleaning of Tungabhadra River
On 24th June 2017, a historic initiative “Cleaning of Tungabhadra River” was launched near Virupapur island in Gangavathi Taluq, Koppal district by the Forest Department, Karnataka. The main pillars of Forest Department Mr. K. S. Sugara, Head of the Forest Force, Mr. M. Anur Reddy, PCCF (wildlife), Dr. S. K. Arun, Hon Wildlife warden, Bellari Mr. Takhat Singh Ranawath, DCF, Bellari, Mr.Prabhakaran, DCF, Koppal and Mrs. Meena, CCF working plan were present, our KFIL executives and members of the Ladies Club too participated actively in the drive.
More than 700 people including the NSS volunteers of the PU Colleges of Gangavathi, Hospet and Kamalapura, Home guards forest waters and staff, eco-volunteers, nature lovers, NGO representatives, and volunteers of Koppal and Bellari also participated in the drive to clean the River Tungabhadra around Hampi.
RO water for Gopinath school
Pure drinking water is very crucial for humans as it helps maintain the balance of body fluids. The functions of the body fluids include digestion, absorption, circulation, the creation of saliva, transportation of nutrients, and maintenance of body temperature. In our constant pursuit to provide clean drinking water in the nearby schools and villages, we provided RO water at Sri Gopinath Memorial School Hospet. Smt. Kamala Gumaste, president of Ladies club inaugurated the R. O. Plant on 18th September 2017 at Sri Gopinath Memorial School Hospet.
Distribution of School Bags to School children
On 1st Sept’2017, school bags were distributed among students of Government Primary School, Guddadalli Village. Mr. Andigaleppa, President, Gram Panchayat, Guddadalli presided over the function. During the function, SDMC Members, Gram Panchayat Members, School Authorities and KFIL CSR team were also present.
MD’s visit to Krishna Temple
In pursuance of our association with local cultural and philanthropic organisation, Mr. R. V. Gumaste, MD accompanied by Mrs. Kamala Gumaste, president- KFIL Officers’ Ladies Club visited the Sri Krishna temple, Koppal on 15th August 2017. He was happy to see the well-built dining hall, for which KFIL had given financial assistance. On this occasion, he was felicitated by the administrator of the trust.
Aid for the needy
Our concern for our neighbourhood goes beyond the generic requirements of the neighbouring community. Even the destitute individuals invite care and compassion to our eagle eye. One such example is Ms. Renuka, a physically challenged lady of Bevinahalli village, who found life difficult for her limited mobility. She was provided with a three-wheeled scooter by Mr. Gumaste, MD who handed her the key on the 9th December 2017. This will enhance her mobility and improve quality of for her life.
Land for Gram Panchayat office
KFIL’s concern for the neighbourhood is appreciated by one and all. The need for a spacious office accommodation was felt by villagers for the Bevinahalli Gram Panchayat. Appreciating the concern, KFIL contributed towards the cost of half an acre of land for construction of the newly declared Gram Panchayat office at Bevinahalli. The ground breaking ceremony was organised by Bevinahalli Gram Panchayat and village representatives on 4th November 2017. Our Managing Director, Sri. R. V. Gumaste and Mr. Rahavendra Hitnal, MLA, Koppal were invited for the ceremony.
As a part of its CSR, environment related films were screened at various colleges.
